Job Application Flow Upgrades

✅ 1. Application Status States

We introduced dynamic handling of 3 core application states:

  • Drafts – Applications started but not submitted.
  • Submitted – Finalized and awaiting review.
  • Archived – Marked inactive (or rejected) but still accessible.

Each status has its own section with animations, helpful copy, and filtered rendering.

Archived entries no longer show duplicates from draft or submitted lists. They're filtered by roomCode and status, ensuring a clean view.


🧠 2. Rate Input Redesign

The rate input now combines:

  • Currency selector (e.g., $, €, ₦)
  • Amount field (number)
  • Time unit (/hr, /month, /annum)

Using simple flex ratios, the input is cleaner and compact.
This structure combines into a string like:
$2000 /month


🔎 3. Dynamic Filtering & Navigation

You can now:

  • Filter applications by status across multiple job rooms.
  • Use roomCode to filter job data and sync views.
  • Dynamically route to job details via "Continue Application" or "Apply" buttons.

📅 4. Date Formatting

Timestamps are now converted to human-readable formats like:

Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – 7:54 AM

This makes it easier for users to track activity and job history.


🧾 5. Archived vs. Rejected Tags

Applications that are either:

  • Archived manually, or
  • Rejected by recruiter

Now show dynamic badge labels with clear visual indicators. We're also using Lucide icons for archived entries, which improves readability and accessibility.


🧠 6. Smarter Scoring & Status Updates

When an applicant completes a quiz:

  • Their score is stored automatically.
  • If they already applied, their status updates to Submitted.
  • If they’re new, a fresh application is created.

No more duplicates. No manual syncing. It just works™.
